My favorite video this week was
Francis Alÿs Zapatos magnéticos (Magnetic Shoes)
I really like the concept of picking up the bits of metal through his shoes to tell the story of his day. I would like a more detailed shot of his shoes after the fact because of how interesting the idea is. I was also a fan of keeping the noise of the background in the work. The sound of conversations and his feet hitting the ground I think added another element of authenticity within the work. The slightly louder consistent whistle was also a good choice in my opinion. I added unity among the transitions. The transitions did seem abrupt at times, and the shake in the camera I was not a fan of because I did not feel like it added to the piece, at times it made it hard to focus. Overall, I really liked it though, with the concept and the way it was created and unified.
