Kiesza – "Hideaway"  

 

      The video itself is an impressive one-take shot that follows Kiesza as she works her way through a city (looks like New York), switching with different dancing partners and styles, while the song’s thick bass and acoustics pushes the beat/video forward. The video seems to tell the story of Kiesza being in a relationship (says it in the lyrics). You can see that she has a lot of passion and emotion when talking about her lover but, like in the lyrics, she's holding back some of her feelings. She talks about how she wants more but still ends up putting her lover at an arms distance (is shown towards the end of the video). He's just a "hideaway" when she wants to get lost in her feelings/romance. The panning and dancing of the video kind of helps talk about the song, especially when you see her dancing with a guy. Pretty cool video to watch, used to love this song when I was younger.
