For this week's video response, I am writing about "Magnetic Shoes", which was certainly an interesting video. I thought the setting of this video was pretty cool, as well as the concept. However, after viewing this art, there were too many wide shots in my opinion. The focus of the video is supposed to be shoes that pull in scraps of metal. I have never seen something like this, so I figured it would be pretty entertaining to see something like that in action. The beginning of the clip also sets up this expectation when it shows lots of people crowding around the man with the shoes, showing interest in their existence. But then, the rest of the video proceeded to show lots of establishing shots of the area instead. The actual close ups of the shoes also don't show any interesting magnetic displays. I do think the aesthetic of the video was quite peaceful and pleasant to the eye, but given the title, I expected something a lot more interesting.
