Week 5_Response_Eli Legg

This week I enjoyed watching Doug Aitken's "Migration" piece. It really reminds me of how sprawling the United States is and how most of it looks very similar. Every exit off a major highway or interstate has the same fast food places, each small city has the same nationwide grocery stores that choke out mom and pop shops. And the worst part of all is we are destroying parts of habitat that we aren't able to rebuild and then after a few decades the area is just a dusty ghost town with vacant motels, closed businesses, and a lack of both wildlife and people.
