Project_2_Heather

I started off by renting out a camera from the library with a small stabilizer and SD card. I took it out on a test run at the museum with my roommate where I got my inspiration and a lot of pictures for 

the project. 

I then started gathering more images and videos as my piece would need a lot. I went around my apartment complex taking videos and images of different moments. At my house, I set up a space where I could film with candles for a long duration and then speed it up. As I started putting together the videos and images I felt that I needed more images so I went into my old art reference pictures that I took myself and added some in. 

At this point, I was layering the different videos and images trying to get a feel for how I wanted things to flow and progress. I wanted the harshness to stay but I also wanted it to feel connected or smooth in other ways. So I was finding the speed for the pictures to flash along with the videos and which ones should appear and for how long. 

For the final touches, I was adding in more pictures and cutting up the videos in certain places. I also went in to do some color editing on the candles and cat to help see the black and pop the red. I went to google to find songs to overlay as well, there are two songs in this piece one about life and one about death. I deleted the noise from the videos and was done.
