 https://youtu.be/y78W5uDXQEo I have chosen to talk this week about this interesting sound art installation. It is essentially a tape in which the tape itself has been wound around different pins, so that you can see it move as the music plays. On the player itself is a dial, where you can change the frequency of the music being played. It creates an interesting contrast between sound being something you can’t see (only hear) while subverting that and transforming the musical device into visual art itself. The interactive portion of the installation seems to transform the piece, and makes it more tangible.
