Week 12_Mary Shepherd

I found a sound installation that was very interesting. It is an interactive piece at the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. The movement of the visitors has the opportunity to change the sounds of the glass tubes. This was designed by using a virtual room with captured movements from a webcam and then translated into data. That way it detects where the visitor is and makes certain glass tube give off sounds. This piece gives a physical part to it that interests the guests and lets them come into the art itself and interact with it.
