Week 8 Response- Mary Shepherd

 Omer Fast has a lot of ideas throughout his work. He notices what the audience will see first and wants them to know the differences between certain images. The main purpose is to tell a story about a young man and his experience in Iraq. The story is shown on those images including Omer and the young man on the back of those images. I really liked this piece because even though it is one story, there are shots going from one point to the next showing what everyone is doing in that scene to really detail the story as much as possible. 

I noticed that in the Kidding trailer, Jim Carrey put on a smile and wanted to give light to everyone he saw, but in my head, I wondered if it was supposed to be a lie or turn into something opposite of what it looked like at the beginning of the trailer only because Jim Carrey is known for him emotional faces and doings. Jim Carrey comes with depth and layers of different possible reactions as an actor so to me this show could turn out to be any kind of category. The only way to find out is to watch it all.
